I am a senior journalism student at The University of Texas at Austin. And, because of my interest in politics, I am also pursuing a minor in government. I first studied journalism and political science for two years at Texas State University and am now in my second year at UT. I have worked for the Daily Texan, UT’s student-run independent newspaper for five semesters now, where I have held a variety of positions. I first started out as a general reporter, then became a senior reporter covering the City of Austin and State of Texas and I most currently am a staff photographer. I have also held editorial internships with the Austin Chronicle and the Daily Dot.
